Non-slip Stair Treads and Nosing - Grating Stair Treads and Checkered Stair Treads with Non Slippery Safety Nosing

Industrial stair treads, known for their strength, durability, and wear resistance, are ideal for high-traffic and industrial settings.

We supply standard and custom-fabricated stair treads to fit various project specifications, in various finishes or coated for added corrosion protection. Serving as a sturdy and safe footing in staircases, they facilitate safe movement between different levels in buildings or structures, making them a favored choice in numerous industrial and commercial applications.

Designs:
Non slip safety stair treads come in various designs, including open grid, closed riser, and diamond plate treads. Each design serves a different purpose and has its own set of advantages. For example, open grid grating treads allow for better airflow and drainage, while diamond checkered plate treads provide enhanced grip.

Steel grating stair treads with checkered plate nosing

Applications:
Steel stair treads are commonly used in industrial, commercial, and public settings where a sturdy and durable staircase is required. They are especially prevalent in environments that may be exposed to heavy loads, chemicals, or harsh weather conditions. They often have anti-slip surfaces to ensure safety. Some steel stair treads also come with nosings, which are protruding edges that help to further enhance grip and minimize the risk of slipping. Non-slip solid tread plates can be used to cover surfaces with holes to allow for wheelchair and high heel traffic. Optional edge bands or wedges along the length of the panels, make it easier for wheelchairs and other wheel cart traffic to roll up onto the floor surface.

Installation:
Safety stair treads can be welded, bolted, or clamped onto the stair stringers (the structural members that support the treads and risers). The installation method chosen can depend on the specific requirements of the project. Non slip diamond pattern stair tread has a male/female interlocking design and can be installed over structural members to provide a solid, skid resistant flooring.

Bar Grating Stair Treads

Specifications: Stair treads made from metal bars arranged in a grid pattern.
Materials: Often made from steel, aluminum, or stainless steel.
Applications: Commonly used in industrial uses due to their durability and slip resistance.
Finishes: Galvanized, painted, or anodized, depending on the material and intended use.
Packaging for transportation: Stacked on pallets and secured with banding straps. Often wrapped for protection from weather.

Chequer Plate Stair Treads

Specifications: Treads made from flat metal sheets with a raised, diamond or five-bar pattern.
Materials: Commonly made from steel, aluminum, or stainless steel.
Applications: Used in industrial areas, platforms, and other places where slip resistance and durability are required.
Finishes: Can be painted, galvanized, or left raw.
Packaging for transportation: Stacked and band-wrapped, often with corner protectors.

Non Slippery Tread Plate Flooring

Specifications: Flat sheets with raised patterns to provide grip and reduce the chance of slipping.
Materials: Typically made from metal, such as steel or aluminum.
Applications: Used in areas where there's a risk of slipping, like workshops, industrial facilities, and garages.
Finishes:Galvanized, painted, or anodized.
Packaging for transportation: Rolled or flat-packed, secured with banding straps, and protected with edge protectors.

Stair Tread Nosing

Stair tread nosings are strips attached to the front edge of a stair tread to provide grip and visual contrast and reinforced anti slipping.
Materials: From metal, rubber, or composite materials.
Applications: Used to improve safety on stairs, especially in public places and industrial settings.
Finishes: Depending on the material, finishes can be colored, anodized, or textured.
Packaging for transportation: Usually bundled together and wrapped in plastic or placed in boxes.
